Under the slogan (a fair Electoral System guarantees the participation of all)

On 24 January 2021, Tammuz Organization for Social Development held an educational dialogue seminar on the law of multiple constituencies and the election mechanism.

The seminar was held in the district of AL-Dawaya and in the presence of Mr. Naeem Al-Saidi, mayor of the district of Al-Diwaih in the province of Dhi Qar, officials of the judiciary, some chiefs of clans, and workers in the biometric registration center in the district. The percentage in addition to the voting mechanism and urging people to participate, especially young people born in 2001, 2002 and 2003, as it has been pointed out that there are more than 8,000 biometric cards that their owners have not attended for the purpose of receiving them. During the symposium, many questions were raised from the participants, and they were answered by our lecturer colleague. At the end of the symposium, recommendations were given from the participants, which are summarized as follows:

1- The necessity of increasing the mobile teams for the purpose of updating people's data by the election commission and its offices.

2- Urging the media to allocate a media space to direct people to update their data.

3-The necessity of holding continuous seminars to explain the meaning of the electoral district and how to vote.

4- Printing posters explaining the difference between the proportional system and the majority system, especially among youth, as well as the flaws in the election law across multiple constituencies.

At the end of the symposium, certificates of appreciation were awarded to our colleague Razzaq Obaid, representative of the Tammuz in Dhi Qar Governorate, to the employees of the biometric registration center at AL-Dawaya and to some other participants.
