Tammuz Organization takes part in a workshop on raising awareness of job opportunities for the unemployed

Tammuz Organization for Social Development - Dhi _Qar Office, took part in a workshop on raising awareness of job opportunities for the unemployed, organized by the Directorate of Dhi Qar Governorate Employment Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs on June 8, 2021.

The workshop was held in the hall of the Sumerion Hotel in Nasiriyah and was attended by Dhi Qar Governorate advisors and representatives of government departments in the governorate, besides several civil society organizations.

 

The workshop was initiated by Mr. Muhammad Abdul Sattar, Director of the Employment Department of Dhi Qar Governorate, reviewing the mechanisms of employing young graduates and craft workers, the reasons behind the high unemployment numbers among young people in Iraq and Dhi Qar in particular.

 

There was a discussion among the attendees on many topics, the most important of which were the obstacles facing the Employment Department in training youth, besides how to enable young people to gain skills and put them in the labor market.
