Australian Embassy celebrates International Women's Day and Tammuz takes part

On Thursday, March 24, 2022, in Baghdad, Tammuz Organization for Social Development took part in a ceremony held by the Australian Embassy on the occasion of International Women's Day

The ceremony was attended by a number of civil society organizations and personalities interested in women's issues, besides politicians and clerics.

The ceremony included a dialogue session held under the slogan "Women's Voices Every Day", in the presence of the Australian Ambassador to Iraq, Mrs. Paula Ganley, where the representative of the Tammuz Organization, fellow Inas Jabbar, took part as a speaker in the session.

During the session, the dialogue revolved around the most important challenges and opportunities facing women activists who are interested in different issues in society, how to benefit from the feminist presence in the new parliament, and ways of cooperation to adopt issues in a participatory manner, in addition to future work aspirations as activists within the feminist movement.
