A workshop on setting budget priorities for Dhi Qar Governorate

on May 11-12, 2022 in Nasiriyah, Tammuz Organization for Social Development took part in a workshop on specifying priorities for the budget of Dhi Qar Governorate, organized by USAID as part of the Integration Project.

The workshop addressed the allocation of the general budget for the governorate before its approval, with the participation of representatives of civil society organizations and relevant government departments.

The first day had a presentation on notions of good governance and the legal framework between organizations and local government in budget preparation and its preparation stage.

On the second day addressed the phase of approving the budget and transparency within the Financial Management Law No. 6 of 2019, besides talking about the next phases.
