Launching the national campaign to raise awareness on Climate Change in Iraq

On 23 May 2022, in Baghdad, and at the invitation of USAID, Tammuz Organization participated in the conference that had had been held to launch the national campaign to raise awareness on climate change in Iraq.

The conference was attended by several representatives of the Iraqi government and a number of civil society organizations’ in addition to a number of journalists.

The campaign aims to spread awareness regarding the huge climate change that has Iraq has been experiencing and how to find the best solution in cooperation with governmental bodies to reduce the risks of this change.

The conference included browsing the steps followed in the project of (Takkamul); a project that aims to support nourishing agriculture, reducing salinization, besides supporting conversion to renewable energy such us solar energy and others in order to reduce pollution.
