International Children’s Day

Child labor, violence& school dropout constitute a large–scale crisis with negative repercussions on society with no realistic solutions to mitigate those effects on Iraqi children's future.

Despite ratifying the CRC and it within law no 5 1994 and following that ratifying its related protocols in 2007, the reality in Iraq shows a noteworthy weakness to pay attention to this category by the Iraqi legalists.

So, on the occasion of International Children’s Day, Tammuz Organization for Social Development calls for the necessity of cooperation and coordination among the concerned bodies to legislate laws and measures that guarantee children’s protection and to adopt policies, programs, and active efficient projects staring from family, education, and society.
