International Women Day

 On the occasion of International Women's Day, which falls on March 8, the family of Tammuz Organization for Social Development extends its congratulations and blessings to all the women of the world, especially in Iraq, wishing them every year more brilliance and success in all life aspects.

On the occasion of this day, the Tammuz organization family renews the call to stop violence against women all over the world, especially in Iraq, through the establishment of strict laws by the relevant authorities, as the latest statistics indicate that the year 2021 alone recorded 5,000 cases of violence against women in Baghdad and all governorates of Iraq.

Tammuz Organization is one of the organizations that always support women in all their activities. The Activities to support women are always a priority of the organization’s work through training workshops aimed at empowering women and integrating them into society, in addition to seminars that discuss women’s rights and equality in all life aspects and the reduction of discrimination on the basis of the gender to which women are exposed.

Tammuz Organization is also currently implementing the Al-Thawra Untha project in cooperation with the PAX organization, a project that aims to highlight the role of women and develop their capabilities to be able to change their stereotyped image and participate effectively in leadership and decision-making positions.
